Kai Tak Sports Park is Hong Kong's largest integrated sports and entertainment landmark, covering 28 hectares. The precinct comprises three world-class sports and performance venues: a 50,000-seat Main Stadium (equipped with a retractable roof and bowl seat cooling system, enabling all-weather operation), a 10,000-seat Indoor Sports Centre (with an additional 500-seat hall), and a 5,000-seat Youth Sports Ground. The park also features landscaped areas, dining, retail and wellness facilities, fully catering to international events, large-scale entertainment performances and everyday community recreation needs.

The project was underpinned by a massive digital programme, enabling precise multi-disciplinary coordination and asset data continuity, while early consultant and contractor involvement accelerated approvals and decision-making. To reduce schedule risk, safety and quality, the team deployed extensive MiMEP and prefabrication strategies, included precast bowl elements with under-seat air ducts embedded, long-span steel structure components with prefabricated cable containment, prefabricated WC modules, high mast lighting modules, pipe riser modules, water pump modules and horizontal ceiling modules, etc.

Backed by just-in-time logistics, factory quality assurance and QR code traceability, the approach effectively reduced on-site labour density, saved approximately 5,000 man days, improved safety, and cut waste, noise and carbon emissions.
