The construction work for the 5th phase of the Student Hostel project at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) at Whitehead, Ma On Shan officially commenced in January 2022. In addition to hostel rooms, there will be communal area, corridors, toilets and plant rooms adopted MiC technology, with more than 1,300 MiC modules in the six building blocks. The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026 and will provide more than 2,000 bed-spaces for CityU undergraduate and postgraduate students.
