MiC / MiMEP Achievement Award 2025

Other Events | 12.12.2025

The first MiC Achievement Award was successfully held in 2022, which have recognised outstanding local projects, project teams, MiC advocators and practitioners for their contributions in the promotion and adoption of MiC.

In recent years, MiMEP has also been widely implemented in government buildings, public housing projects, and other constructions, thanks to its numerous advantages, such as efficiency, quality, safety, and sustainability. As a result, we are introducing the MiMEP Achievement Award this year.

This year, the focus will be on Excellence in Design and Outstanding Project. Excellence in  Design recognises innovative methodologies that improve functionality, sustainability, safety, creativity, and efficiency in construction. Meanwhile, the Outstanding Project award highlights successful project execution. Both awards aim to encourage and promote the wider adoption of MiC and MiMEP, setting exemplary industry benchmarks in the pursuit of excellence.

The MiC/MiMEP Award Presentation Ceremony will be held on 12 December 2025 during the CiEXPO 2025, which will celebrate the outstanding achievements of the awarded projects.

Adopting MiC to Build Light Public Housing (LPH) to Expedite Housing Supply

The Policy Address 2022 announced the construction of LPH. The LPH Scheme is led by the Architectural Services Department with the adoption of MiC. The Housing Bureau has selected eight sites in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, Ma On Shan, Kai Tak, Ngau Tau Kok and Chai Wai, providing around 30,000 LPH units. The construction period takes only one to two years. Each units equipped with self-contained toilet and basic facilities such as water heater and air-con. The first batch of around 2,100 units will be completed in 2024-25 and the remaining units will be completed by phases in 2025-26 and 2026-27, so as to shorten the waiting time of public housing.
