The Ying Wa Street Modular Housing project is a low rise development. With it setting regarding to its surrounding environmental, creating a quiet and cozy neighborhood for the transitional housing.
The building is divided into 2 blocks, due to its site constraint on the drainage reserve area, yet this provide an opportunities to create it unique character on its setting out, orientation and relationship with the neighbor. A landscaped inter-generation playground space such as urban farming, exercise play hub, etc will encourage social interaction among the residents and neighborhood.
They also provide common facilities, such as the recreation room, podium terraces at 2/F, and the outdoor plazas and backyards, for the enjoyment of the residents. |

The Yau Ma Hom site is located adjacent to a heavy-trafficked Cheung Wing Road. A buffer area is create between the road and the residential area to mitigate the noise and air impact.
Despite it unfavorable ground condition, our team have put our effort to ensure its cost effective design with ease of construction. Our design has minimize the needs on ELS with innovation design on its foundation design. With challenges turned into design opportunities, an ample mount of open space have been provided for recreational purposes. It is not only beneficial to the community’s well-being, but also allowing space for on-site construction work. In addition, linear site with lush green slope at the back have orientated the building such that window opening facing the natural greenery is maximized. |
