Design and Build Contract for Transitional Housing Project at Luen Yan Street, Tsuen Wan

Luen Yan Street, Tsuen Wan

The project building is named as "荃福居",  providing approximately 196 nos. of residential units for estimated 408 nos. of residents. There are 1-4 person units and barrier-free units, each with its own toilet, bathroom and cooking space.

There will also be facilities such as community kitchens, green convenience stores and organic gardens to provide hot meals to residents and those in need in the community, and to promote food waste recycling and food waste composting education in a one-stop way.

It is hoped that "Tsuen Fook Kui" can provide an appropriate transitional suitable housing for grassroots residents in the Tsuen Wan community with poor living conditions in the future, so as to ease the waiting list for public housing families and other residents.

The Chief Executive's 2022 Policy Address

To foster the development of MiC

The Chief Executive delivered the 2022 Policy Address on 19 October. To enhance Quantity, Speed, Efficiency and Quality, the Government will increase public housing and land supply by different measures, including the building of Light Public Housing by MiC to shorten the waiting time of public housing. The Housing Authority and Housing Society will adopt the MiC in more public housing projects. The DEVB will establish a cross-departmental steering committee, to streamline approval processes, and also making available land in the Northern Metropolis for manufacturing and storage of modules.
