Chun Wo Construction Holdings Company Limited (“Chun Wo”) is the core member of Asia Allied Infrastructure Holdings Limited. It is one of the few local contractors holding five types of registration and qualification to work on public projects. Chun Wo possesses the professional capabilities to take on mega-size integrated construction projects. The recent large-scale infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, which it has involved or is involving in, included the Central-Wanchai Bypass, Liantang/ Heung Yuen Wai Boundary infrastructure facilities, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Passenger Clarence Building, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (Hong Kong Section): Trackwork and Overhead Line System, and MTR Shatin to Central Link etc.
For building construction, Chun Wo’s professional team is capable of undertaking different kinds of building projects, including government and institutional buildings, office, residential and industrial buildings, hospitals, schools, etc. As for overseas projects, in addition to the building and railway projects in Macao and Taiwan, Chun Wo has seized the opprtunities brought by the Belt and Road initiative to undertake the “Design and Construction of the Novaliches - Balara Aqueduct 4” in the Philippines.
Recognising the importance of technology to the development of the industry, Chun Wo has established Inno@chunwo to collaborate with local universities to develop innovative construction technologies in the areas of “Of-fsite Construction”, “Robotics & Automation”, “Digital Transformation - Smart Site” and “Advanced Technologies & Materials” to enhance construction efficiency and promote the transformation of the construction industry. Chun Wo and the P&T Group have jointly develop a “wall connection technology” that is applicable to Concrete “Modular Integrated Construction” Systems (“Concrete MiC”). This technology and the entire Concrete MiC solution have received “In-principle Acceptance” from the Buildings Department, meaning that they can be applied to both public and private building projects in Hong Kong. The “wall connection technology” of Concrete MiC has also obtained the pertinent patent, making Chun Wo the first Hong Kong construction company to use this method in the design and construction of buildings up to 40-storey high.
