The KICEM (Korea Institute of Construction Engineering and Management) and CNERC (Chinese National Engineering Research Center for Steel Construction, Hong Kong Branch) are delighted to announce The First ICCEPM International Seminar on Modular Integrated and Off-site Construction (MiC/OSC), an online meeting scheduled at 9 AM (HK time), August 12, 2021. This Seminar is initiated and supported by the International Consortium of Construction Engineering and Project Management (ICCEPM).

Modular Integrated and Off-site Construction (MiC/OSC) has been considered as a game-changing technology for faster construction, safer manufacturing, better quality control, and lower environmental impacts compared with traditional onsite construction. Due to these benefits, both the government and the industry in many countries are driving to promote MIC/OSC. Currently, we are building practical experience through government sub-vented or industry-led projects that range from small-scale housing projects to high-rise commercial buildings in South Korea, Hong Kong, and the United States. However, to further promote the use of MiC/OSC, several remaining challenges in terms of design, manufacturing, procurement, delivery, and construction should be tackled. The workshop aims to share the state-of-the-art research and technologies for MiC/OSC in South Korea, Hong Kong, and the United States. Also, during the workshop, it will be discussed how to build an international research network and collaboration platform for the research in MiC/OSC.

关于「机电装备合成法」

「机电装备合成法」指多种屋宇装备结合成为多工合成构件,在场外预制工场生产,并运送至工地进行组装,以完成安装屋宇设备,将现场安装工序减至最少的方法。「机电装备合成法」可结合建筑结构及装饰以构成一个进阶的多工合成构件,例如假天花和机房单元以提高安装效率。
